Voyager was ok I guess. But Sylvie is right that it would have been more interesting if they had explored tensions between the two crews more deeply.

We’ve been watching all the movies in release order. I think we’re up to Insurrection. So far, I think ST: TMP is my favorite one.

We watched every Top Gear special. I’m pretty sure m y wife won’t watch the trek movies. She loved Stargate though.

We’ve been working our way through Stargate this week. We’ve watched SG- 1 through season 8 before where McGyver basically steps out of the rotation but we’re going to try to go through the whole thing, SG- 1, atlantis, Universe and the movies.

Yeah there are a few things I would change, but this is the most Trek plot. I kind of wish they would make another show like this with the VFX we have now.

You know what still bugs me about Voyager? Seska. They really screwed up with her character. (1st season spoilers ahead for those who haven’t watched it.)
The whole angle of her giving a food replicator to the Kazon to try to gain their protection totally made sense, but I’ll never understand why they thought it made sense for her to leave with them. I mean, she still wanted to get home too, right? She could have stayed on board and been punished, earning back their trust and becoming a Garak-style character. They could have had a gold mine of stories about her trying to cope with being an outed Cardassian spy on a ship full of Maquis.

You have to start with the original movie! I loved it when it came out. Yeah my wife likes O’neill and she didn’t like the change. a couple years ago we got all the way through SGU, I really wish they kept going with it, it was just getting better and had so many possibilities.

My wife and I both did not like the original movie so we started with Episode 1 of SG-1. I haven’t seen any Atlantis but I’m with you on Universe, it started OK, then got slow and a bit rough but was picking it up and that cliffhanger was brutal at the end of it.

When I first discovered the show, I thought it was just going to be a snarky take on Star Trek. Then I watched a coupe of episodes and realized that it’s a serious show, with a modest dose of snark. I like it.

I like it but I think is slows down and gets more sciencey for my wife. She likes BSG, Stargate and Farscape. I keep trying. My wife is from Japan so it’s sometimes hard to know what she will like. She surprises me times.

The whole idea have having recurring external enemies was pretty flawed. When you have a brand new starship flying at high speed in roughly one direction, it really doesn’t make sense to encounter the same baddies multiple time. Even encountering the same civilization, you’d expect to be meeting different members, since you should have left the people you met before in the dust.
